Wow...what an opportunity,,,was the nest in a tree??? was the mom near by??? I have a robins nest in a tree in my front yard but it is way to high for me to get up there...great shot... Debbie : ) #550329

You would probably laugh! The kids at our preschool found the nest first a couple of weeks ago. You can imagine the first thing they try to do...........knock it down with a ball! Two eggs fell out that day. I was surprised to find the mom on the nest week before last week. So when the opportunity came, I slid one of the larger toys under the nest to climb up and hold my camera above the nest to see what was happening........ Very lucky to find a new little one on the way. Since the kids know there are babies, they leave it alone. Every couple of days I took another shot so they can watch the progress of thier playground birdnest. It is a robin's nest. I took and showed the kids the progress of their birds after I took the pictures. They were amazed! Surprisingly the mom didn't get too upset when I was around............
